Stephanie completed her Honours Bachelor in Human Kinetics in 2012, and her Master’s of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 2017, both at the University of Ottawa. She has worked extensively within the Ontario health care system with adults and children alike. She has volunteered with Pediatric Physio and Occupational Therapy since May 2016, gaining rich experience in a variety of hands-on techniques from our experienced pediatric therapists. She has carried out in-home physiotherapy treatment plans supervised by a physiotherapist with kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Stephanie is trained in Primitive Reflexes influencing Movement & Motor Control: Assessment and Rehabilitation as well as the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis (Part A). She has completed a 5-week placement alongside clinic owner Liane Norman, as well as a 6-weeks in community pediatric physiotherapy (part-time). She is fully bilingual and has completed courses in Functional Dry Needling (Level 1) and Task Specific Electrical Stimulation for Children with Cerebral Palsy. She already plans on continuing her post-graduate education through courses such as Rhythmic Movement Training, Neuro-Development Treatment, and Dynamic Core for Kids, in order to provide children and their families with the highest level of care.
She has a passion for helping children reach their full physical potential by putting a fun, creative and engaging spin current and evidence-based approaches. As an avid animal lover, Stephanie plans on integrating Animal Assisted Therapy into her future practice. In her spare time, she can be found walking, running and hiking with her rescue dogs Koda and Stevie.
