My family centred, play-based approach to Occupational Therapy supports children of all developmental stages in doing the things they need and want to do in everyday life.  As an OT, I look at how a child’s environment and their physical, mental and emotional skills affect their ability to participate in meaningful “occupations” such as playing, making friends and learning at school.

Whether it be managing emotions, accepting new foods or improving handwriting, I love working with children of all abilities and their families to achieve their goals.

As a life-long learning, I have training the following areas:

  • Neuroscience based self-regulation techniques for Autism, ADHD and Sensory Disorders
  • Trauma informed sensory motor approaches including brief mentorship by Kim Barthel
  • Feeding issues and mealtime success (including strategies for children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and developmental delays)
  • Sound based therapy including the Safe and Sound Protocol (iLS) and Quickshifts (Vital Links)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions for children with anxiety
  • Certified ADHD Professional Intensive Training-Learn Play Thrive Approach to Autism
  • Core development and function for sensory processing
  • Teaching yoga (200h YTTC and 21h Yoga Vinyasa for Youth)
  • Reflex Integration (through Move Play Thrive)
  • Women’s Health and Occupational Therapy
  • Pelvic Health and Maternal Mental Health
