About
Robyn received her undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science at Carleton University where she discovered her fascination with the mind and human cognition. The broad perspective on the mind and body that she gained combined with a love for working with people is what led her to a career as an occupational therapist. She obtained her master’s degree in occupational therapy at Western University and enjoys the dynamic and broad scope of practice that is associated with this profession. She values the holistic approach that is offered by occupational therapy and aims to create a therapeutic environment that encourages the individual to use their unique strengths to reach their goals.
She has worked with clients of all ages, and is inspired by the resilience, curiosity, and creativity associated with a pediatric population.
Born and raised in the Ottawa area, she has always enjoyed participating in the locally available activities such as skiing, skating, ringette, and sailing. She has experience coaching and working with youth of all ages as a ringette coach, ski instructor, and camp counsellor. She believe in working collaboratively with clients and their families to find “just right” challenges that will push past their comfort zones and help them grow and learn in their experiences.
