About
Sharina completed her degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. During her four years of study, she gained knowledge of the biophysical aspects and mental strategies involved in engaging in physical activity. Through her volunteer and placement experiences, she honed her ability to support young children and teenagers, in both individual and group settings, to participate in active living. She has since gained a better understanding of the accessibility and inclusion obstacles faced by underserved youth, persons with special needs, and those managing mental health challenges. Her desire to learn is fueled by her passion for supporting youth in discovering their own unique ways to engage in meaningful play.
