What to Do After a Car Accident
- Contact your auto insurance adjustor and obtain a claim number.
- Seek an assessment from a licensed medical professional (physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or physician) if you experience any symptoms related to the accident.
- Book an Initial Assessment at our clinic. This 60-minute in-person appointment allows us to create a tailored treatment plan.
- Approval of Treatment Plan: After the assessment, we’ll create a treatment plan that must be approved by your adjustor before we can proceed with treatment.
What to Bring to Your Initial Assessment
- Any equipment being used at home or school (e.g., glasses, crutches, adaptive equipment)
- Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement
- Claim number, adjustor’s name/contact information
- Auto insurance company name and policy number
- Private insurance information
Billing for MVA Claims
- Treatment plans from your physiotherapist or occupational therapist must be pre-approved by your auto insurance adjustor. The plan will detail the number and duration of treatment sessions.
- Private insurance coverage must be exhausted before auto insurance coverage is applied.
- We offer direct billing for most private and auto insurance policies.
