What to Do After a Car Accident

  1. Contact your auto insurance adjustor and obtain a claim number.
  2. Seek an assessment from a licensed medical professional (physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or physician) if you experience any symptoms related to the accident.
  3. Book an Initial Assessment at our clinic. This 60-minute in-person appointment allows us to create a tailored treatment plan.
  4. Approval of Treatment Plan: After the assessment, we’ll create a treatment plan that must be approved by your adjustor before we can proceed with treatment.

What to Bring to Your Initial Assessment

  • Any equipment being used at home or school (e.g., glasses, crutches, adaptive equipment)
  • Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement
  • Claim number, adjustor’s name/contact information
  • Auto insurance company name and policy number
  • Private insurance information

Billing for MVA Claims

  • Treatment plans from your physiotherapist or occupational therapist must be pre-approved by your auto insurance adjustor. The plan will detail the number and duration of treatment sessions.
  • Private insurance coverage must be exhausted before auto insurance coverage is applied.
  • We offer direct billing for most private and auto insurance policies.
