About
Jen is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 20 years of experience creating and facilitating play-based learning programs for children. She brings her playful approach to learning to our new On The Ball Groups programs after owning and operating her Ottawa-based early learning centre for six years. Jen has worked with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, as well as several non-profit child care organizations and recreational programs across the city. She is passionate about teaching families the value of play and its connection to healthy early childhood development.
Jen's playgroup sessions incorporate social, cognitive, language and physical development activities with thoughtful and dynamic physical activities that are fun for children and parents alike. These Group programs are created in collaboration with On The Ball's fantastic team of pediatric physiotherapists and occupational therapists as a part of our ongoing commitment to supporting children and families to learn and grow together. Jen looks forward to making new friendships and developing new skills at On The Ball Groups.
The power to be invisible! I wonder about all the interesting places an invisible person could go…
Gold! It's a cheerful and warm colour that reminds me of sunshine.
It's probably a tie between skydiving (jumping out of an airplane) and river boarding (going face-first through white water rapids). They are both terrifying and thrilling in their own unique ways!
